What is Thresholds?

Thresholds is a high-end episodic television series built to prove a single idea, that a lean senior team with the right pipeline architecture can produce studio-quality work at series scale without a studio behind them.

The pipeline runs through Unreal Engine and the Reallusion ecosystem.
AI tools, specifically ComfyUI, are built in as force multipliers rather than shortcuts.
The colour pipeline is ACES 1.2 end to end.

"Together they search. One of them will break the world."
What we are building

A teaser trailer — the proof of concept for the series — three characters and ten worlds, built on a hybrid pipeline combining real-world Gaussian Splat scans, AI-generated environments, digital human scan data, real-time Unreal Engine rendering, Nuke compositing, and a DaVinci Resolve grade.

This is not a game. This is not a real-time experience.
This is a series, produced with a real-time pipeline.

Delivery is UHD 3840 × 2160, 16:9, at 24.000 fps, ACES end to end. Every number is on the Delivery Specs page — set them before your first scene.

Where to Find Things

04

Day One

01
Join Discord. Post a hello in #ths-crew. That confirms you are in and your pipeline is connected.
02
Read the Production Bible. Naming conventions, folder structure, pipeline, software versions, delivery specs. All of it applies to you.
03
Never overwrite a file. Always version up. Never process production assets through browser-based AI tools. ACES throughout.
04
Post updates actively. Always include version number and file location. Verbal approvals do not exist on this production.
05
Check software versions against the bible before starting your first scene. Version mismatches cost everyone time.
06
Questions go in Discord. Check the bible first. If the answer is not there, ask. That is how the bible gets better.
